NTRA participates in Intersec conference at Dubai

The National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) participated in the 25th edition of the Intersec Conference, which focus on Safety, Security and Fire Protection, at the World Trade Center in Dubai, UAE.

Intersec is an annually conference that gathers an elite group of government leaders, heads of global institutions and bodies, and regional and international experts to discuss the best technologies, innovations and solutions in the field of security and safety.

Dr. Ahmed Abdel Hafez, NTRA VP for Cybersecurity Affairs and the Executive Office head for the Egyptian Supreme Council for Cybersecurity, spoke about the importance of cooperation between countries to enhance cybersecurity by strengthening partnerships and agreements between governments and institutions, and how important to develop a joint working mechanism to confront the increasing threats in cyberspace, in A panel discussion entitled “Hyper Collaboration Blueprint: Forging Stronger Multilateralism & Partnerships for a Secured Future’.

The Cybersecurity Conference witnessed several speakers, workshops, and sessions to discuss the future of cybersecurity and what are the best ways and techniques to combat cybercrime and terrorism on the Internet, preparing to confront quantum cyberattacks, the power of ethical hacking and penetration testing, and how to mitigate cloud risks.

NTRA’s participation came with the aim of exchanging experiences, visions and ideas in order to enhance Egypt’s cybersecurity, As in the era of digital transformation, cyber threats have become a source of concern for governments and institutions, with international companies expecting that in 2025 global spending on cybersecurity will reach $150 billion and the cost of cybercrime will reach $10 trillion.
