NTRA participates in Arab Security Conference

The National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) participated in the annual Arab Security Conference and Exhibition, which held in Cairo under the title “Cyber Warfare, the New Battlefield.”
The seventh round of the conference took place under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Dr. Amr Talaat, His Excellency the Minister of Finance, Dr. Mohamed Maait, and His Excellency the Minister of Military Production, Eng. Mohamed Salah El-Din, and in the presence of ambassadors, experts, and leaders of cybersecurity.
Dr. Ahmed Abdel Hafez, Vice President of NTRA for Cybersecurity Affairs, delivered an opening speech that addressed how to support business leaders towards more comprehensive thinking to effectively secure information to ensure economic growth in the era of digital transformation. He stressed the allocation of an adequate budget to encourage scientific research to combat cyber threats, and explained the aspects of cooperation between universities, scientific and industrial institutions, and the agency’s support for cybersecurity projects that would raise the level of efficiency and expertise to meet future challenges in the field of information security.
The conference aims to exchange experiences and best practices by specialists and workers in cybersecurity and information technology, and to provide new channels of communication with global experts.
The conference included more than 30 discussion sessions and technical workshops with the aim of refining the skills and capabilities of cybersecurity specialists to enhance their knowledge and awareness of technological developments.
