ESCC organizes a workshop about information security in cooperation with AWS

The Supreme Council for Cybersecurity (ESCC), in cooperation with the leading company in web services, Amazon, organized a workshop about mechanisms for data protection and security, compliance and governance in the era of digital transformation.
The workshop was held in the presence of a number of executive directors and cybersecurity experts, and it was inaugurated by the Director of the Executive Office of the Supreme Council for Cybersecurity, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Hafez, who reviewed the Council’s efforts in the era of digital transformation and its role in addressing cyber threats and risks, starting with the establishment of the National Computer emergency readiness team (EG-CERT) before 14 years, through the formation of the Supreme Council for Cybersecurity and the development of the National Strategy for Cybersecurity.
AWS representatives talked about the importance of cybersecurity and the need to comply with information and data security standards, and how digital transformation and cloud storage contribute to enhancing the value and quality of services provided to users.
The activities of the workshop concluded with a simulated training of the exposure of some vital state facilities to a cyber attack, how to deal with it, and the identification of roles during and after the attack.
