NTRA organizes an awareness seminar for the National Council for Women in cooperation with CARE

The NTRA was keen to raise awareness about cyber crimes, especially the online extortion, during an online seminar for the National Council for Women in cooperation with CARE Egypt organization.
A team from EG-CERT participated in the seminar to guide the attendees about cybersecurity basics which protects data, accounts, and devices against cyber crimes.
The participants knew the different types of online extortion, which is the most prominent type of cybercrime.
They also realized how to use the social media safely, the need to be very careful in dealing with strangers, and what are the steps to submit a report to the Computer Crime and Information Network Department at the headquarters of the Egyptian Ministry of Interior. The governmental entity which is in charge of investigation and applying the Law on Combating Information Technology Crimes (No. 175 of 2018).
