Cybersecurity superheroes camp begins

The first phase of the summer camp to prepare the cybersecurity superheroes was launched on Sunday, in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Dr. Amr Talaat, at the headquarters of the National Telecommunications Institute (NTI) in Smart Village, Giza.
The camp aims to train 1,300 children on cybersecurity skills over two months in cooperation between the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, the National Telecommunications Institute, CyberX, and BARQ Systems.
Participants will learn the basics of cybersecurity and how to protect themselves while using the Internet through several topics like:
- Safe use of social media
- Public Wi-Fi networks
- Digital harassment
- Dangers of video game addiction
- Social engineering
- QR code security
The camp includes lectures given by cybersecurity experts, in addition to workshops, training, and practical activities that help children master cybersecurity skills.
This summer camp is a part of the cybersecurity awareness program that aims to protect children and youth from Internet dangers.
