NTRA participates in GITEX conference in Morocco

NTRA was keen to accept the invitation it received from the Kingdom of Morocco to participate in the activities of the “GITEX Africa” conference.
Dr. Ahmed Abdel Hafez, Vice President of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, was present at the conference, representing the agency.
Abdel Hafez participated in a discussion session held on the sidelines of the conference, entitled “Common Foundations for Formulating Policies and Regulations Regulating Cyber Security”.
Abdel Hafez spoke about the challenges facing the continent of Africa in general and the Arab Republic of Egypt in particular, with regard to drafting laws regulating and governing cyber security in the country.
Abdel Hafez also reviewed Egypt’s most prominent successes in light of its endeavor to preserve its cyber security and combat cyber crime in light of the great technological progress, and the state’s plans to confront these challenges.
